It is suitable for washing natural river sand, manufactured sand, quartz sand, and small gravel (0–10mm). It effectively removes clay coatings, dust, silt, and organic impurities, improving sand quality for use in concrete, mortar, and road construction.

When mud content is ≥10%, or when processing sticky materials, the spiral washer cleans more thoroughly than a wheel washer.

Water consumption varies by model and feed volume, typically ranging from 5 to 30 m³/h. For operations in water-scarce regions, we recommend pairing it with a fine sand recovery machine to recycle wash water and minimize waste.

In standard operation, some fine particles (below 0.075mm) will be carried away with overflow water, potentially reducing yield by 5–20%. To minimize fine sand loss, we strongly recommend combining the spiral sand washer with a Fine Sand Recovery Machine downstream.

A single spiral washer suits small to medium capacity lines (30–200 t/h). A double spiral washer has two parallel screws working simultaneously, effectively doubling processing capacity while maintaining the same washing quality — ideal for high-volume sand production plants.
