Application areas:XGN-Q series light hammer crushers are widely used in crushing materials in mines, gravel fields, cement plants, construction and other fields.
Applicable materials:XGN-Q series light hammer crusher is a new grate-less hammer crusher, suitable for fine crushing of limestone, bluestone, gangue, shale and other materials.

Product Overview

XGN-Q series light hammer crusher, commonly known as hammer crusher, optimizes the traditional hammer crusher and designs a more practical new hammer crusher without grating bars, which is suitable for brittle materials with a compressive strength not greater than 150Mpa.

Key Advantages

Efficient Impact Crushing

The high-speed rotor drives the hammers to apply repeated impact force to the incoming material. Crushing is completed through hammer impact, collision with the internal liners, and material-to-material interaction, providing efficient size reduction for limestone, shale, coal gangue, and other brittle materials.

Suitable for a Range of Brittle Materials

The XGN-Q series is designed for low- to medium-strength brittle materials with compressive strength not exceeding 150 MPa. Typical applications include limestone, shale, coal gangue, gypsum, and similar materials used in aggregate production, cement plants, mining, and industrial material processing.

Flexible Model Selection

The series includes models with different rotor sizes, feed openings, motor powers, and production capacities. Customers can select a suitable configuration based on material properties, maximum feed size, required output size, moisture content, and target capacity.

Simplified Crushing-Line Configuration

For suitable materials and production requirements, the XGN-Q light hammer crusher can combine multiple size-reduction duties in one machine. This may reduce the number of crushing stages and simplify the overall production-line layout. The final configuration should be determined through material analysis and capacity calculations.

Working Principle

Working Principle of Light Hammer Crusher
The motor drives the rotor and hammers at high speed. After entering the crushing chamber, the material is repeatedly broken by hammer impact, collision with the impact liners, and material-to-material crushing. Once the particles are reduced to the required size, they leave the chamber through the open discharge area. The grate-free discharge design reduces the risk of blockage when processing suitable materials with moderate moisture.

Frequently Asked Questions

A light hammer crusher is generally not the first choice for highly abrasive and hard materials such as granite, basalt, quartzite, and high-silica ores. These materials can accelerate hammer and liner wear.

The grate-free discharge structure can reduce the risk of blockage when processing materials with moderate moisture. However, the machine is not suitable for every wet or sticky material. Excessive moisture, high clay content, or strongly adhesive feed can still reduce capacity and affect discharge. Customers should provide the moisture and clay content of the material before model selection.

The maximum feed size ranges from 400 to 1,000 mm across the XGN-Q series. For example, smaller models handle feed sizes up to 400–500 mm, while larger models can accept material up to 900–1,000 mm. Oversized feed should be controlled because it can reduce capacity and increase impact loads on the rotor and hammers.

The discharge size is influenced by the internal crushing clearance, rotor speed, hammer condition, material properties, and operating configuration. Because the appropriate adjustment method may differ between models, customers should provide the required finished-particle size before ordering. XINGAONAI engineers can then recommend the appropriate model and settings.

For suitable brittle materials and output requirements, a light hammer crusher may combine more than one size-reduction duty and simplify the crushing-line configuration. However, whether it can replace primary and secondary equipment depends on the feed size, required product grading, fines limit, material abrasiveness, and production capacity. The complete flowsheet should be confirmed through material testing and engineering calculations.
