PE Series Jaw Crusher

CAPACITY

90-1100t/h

FEED SIZE

≤1200mm
Application areas:Primary crushing in mining, quarrying, aggregate production, construction materials, and mineral processing plants, where large run-of-mine rock must be reduced before secondary crushing.
Applicable materials:Granite, basalt, river pebble, iron ore, copper ore, limestone, quartzite, and other hard or abrasive rock with compressive strength up to 280 MPa, subject to feed gradation and operating conditions.

Product Overview

The PE Series Jaw Crusher is a heavy-duty primary crusher for reducing large hard-rock and ore feed before secondary and tertiary crushing. Six models cover feed openings from 600 × 900 mm to 1,500 × 1,800 mm, maximum feed sizes from 500 to 1,200 mm, and nominal capacities from 90 to 1,100 tph.
Its simple mechanical layout combines a rigid frame, eccentric shaft, flywheel, movable jaw, fixed jaw, toggle plate, and replaceable wear liners. This design is suited to mines, quarries, and aggregate plants that need dependable coarse crushing with straightforward inspection and wear-part replacement.

Select a model from the actual feed top size, required throughput, desired discharge setting, material compressive strength and abrasiveness, moisture or clay content, and the capacity of downstream equipment. The published capacities are reference ranges; final output depends on feed gradation, operating conditions, and the selected closed-side setting.

Key Advantages

Six Models Cover 90–1,100 tph

Six PE models cover feed openings from 600 × 900 mm to 1,500 × 1,800 mm, allowing the crusher to be matched to quarry, mine, and aggregate plant throughput requirements.

Large Feed Opening for Primary Crushing

Depending on the model, the PE Series accepts feed up to 500–1,200 mm and reduces large run-of-mine rock before cone, impact, or other secondary crushing stages.

Heavy-Duty, Serviceable Structure

A rigid frame, forged eccentric shaft, replaceable jaw plates, and accessible wear components support reliable operation and planned maintenance in abrasive applications.

Adjustable Discharge and Predictable Product Size

Shim or wedge adjustment sets the closed-side discharge range from 65 to 360 mm by model, helping operators balance capacity, reduction ratio, and downstream feed requirements.

Working Principle

Working Principle of PE Series Jaw Crusher
The PE Series jaw crusher uses compressive crushing. An electric motor drives the flywheel and eccentric shaft, causing the movable jaw to oscillate toward and away from the fixed jaw. Material entering the V-shaped chamber is compressed as the jaws close and moves downward as the chamber opens. Particles leave through the adjustable discharge opening once they are smaller than the set gap. Feed size, material hardness, moisture, jaw profile, and discharge setting all affect capacity and product size.

Frequently Asked Questions

PE Series jaw crushers are designed for primary crushing of large materials. The maximum feed size varies by model, ranging from < 500 mm for the PE600*900 up to < 1200 mm for the PE1500*1800. For example, the PE1200*1500 can accept feed sizes up to 1020mm.

PE Series jaw crushers offer a wide capacity range from approximately 90 to 1,100 tons per hour, depending on the model. For example, the PE600*900 model handles 90-180 tph, while the largest PE1500*1800 model can process 520-1,100 tph.

No. Under normal operating procedures, start the crusher with an empty crushing chamber and allow it to reach stable operating speed before feeding material. Stop the feeder first during shutdown and let the chamber clear. Always follow the model-specific operating manual and site lockout/tagout procedures.

PE Series machines use a proven conventional jaw-crusher layout for primary crushing and cover 90–1,100 tph in the listed models. PEV Series machines use an updated chamber and frame design for projects that require different feed openings, capacities, automation options, or installation constraints. Compare the actual model tables and project conditions rather than selecting by series name alone.

Select the appropriate model based on your required capacity, maximum feed size, and desired discharge size. For example: PE600*900 (< 500 mm feed, 90-180 tph) for medium operations; PE900*1200 (< 750 mm feed, 220-450 tph) for large-scale production; PE1200*1500 (< 1020 mm feed, 400-800 tph) for heavy-duty applications. The professional team can also tailor solutions to suit your specific project requirements.

PE Series models typically feature a wedge or shim adjustment system for setting the discharge gap. The gap between the fixed and movable jaw plates should be calibrated regularly according to your production requirements. An incorrect gap leads to uneven discharge particle size and reduced crushing efficiency.
