8 differences between cone crusher and impact crusher

Release time:Mar.17.2023 Views:0

Crushing equipment plays a vital role in the configuration of construction sand and gravel aggregate production lines. Reasonable equipment configuration is related to the investment cost, production cost, product quality and product yield of the entire production line. For secondary crushing equipment, both cone crusher and impact crusher are commonly used equipment, so what is the difference between the two, and how to choose the type?

1. Different structure

The same as the secondary crushing equipment, the obvious difference between the impact crusher and the cone crusher is the crushing principle and appearance structure, which are easy to distinguish.

2. The working principle is different

The impact crusher adopts the principle of impact crushing, and the material is repeatedly impacted and crushed between the blow bar and the impact plate.

The cone crusher adopts the combination of extrusion, shearing and grinding for crushing. The wall of the rolling mortar moves continuously to the crushing wall, squeezing the materials sandwiched between them to make them crushed.

3. The scope of application is different

Both impact crusher and cone crusher can be used as secondary crushing equipment, but the hardness of the crushed materials is different.

The cone crusher mainly crushes some hard materials, such as granite, basalt, tuff, river pebbles, etc.

The impact crusher is used to crush materials with low hardness and brittleness, such as limestone, limestone, etc.

4. The output particle size is different

The output granularity of the crushed materials of the two kinds of crusher equipment is different. Generally speaking, cone crushers crush finer materials than impact crushers.

In the actual production process, more cone crushers are used in the beneficiation process, while more impact crushers are used in building materials and construction projects.

5. The finished grain shape is different

The impact crusher has good grain shape, less edges and corners in the finished product, and more powder; the finished product of the cone crusher has more needle-like grain shape.

6. The processing capacity is different

Compared with the impact crusher, the cone crusher has the characteristics of low energy consumption, large output, and stable production, so the cone crusher is often used in large-scale high-output production line operations.

7. Different input costs

The price of the cone crusher is more expensive than the impact crusher, but its wearing parts have a longer life, which avoids the trouble of frequent replacement of parts. In the long run, the cone crusher is more cost-effective than the impact crusher.

The initial purchase cost of the impact crusher is low, and the later maintenance cost is relatively high; the initial cost of the cone crusher is high, and the later investment cost is relatively low.

8. Different degrees of pollution

The noise pollution and dust pollution of the impact crusher are large, and the pollution of the cone crusher is small.

To sum up, the impact crusher and the cone crusher have their own advantages and disadvantages. In actual production, it is necessary to make a reasonable selection according to the nature of the material, the particle size of the incoming and outgoing materials, and the output.
